Ed Trappler is president and founder of Lyophilization Technology, Inc. a contract research and technical services firm dedicated to freeze drying. He has over 25 years experience in lyophilization, ranging from product development to equipment application engineering. His pharma experience encompasses product development, toxicology, supply preparation, clinical manufacturing and parenteral production. His experience encompasses both pharmaceutical manufacturing---he worked for Elkin Sinn., Inc. and McNeil Pharmaceuticals---and equipment manufacturing, for Hull Corp. He has written and presented numerous papers, and teaches and lectures around the world on the subject. He has a B.S. from the College of New Jersey and is chair of PDA’s Lyophilization Validation Task Force.
